6 cups butternut squash, cooked and mashed (you can also use pumpkin)
6 eggs, lightly beaten
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup margarine, melted
Salt and pepper
Sprinkle of nutmeg


1.5 cup brown sugar
¾ cup butter, softened
½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup chopped pecans


Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.

Place the mashed squash, eggs, brown sugar, melted margarine, salt, pepper and nutmeg into a bowl and mix well. Spoon into a 13″ x 9″ x 2″ baking dish.

In a separate bowl, combine all the topping ingredients and crumble over the top. Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.

Serves about 10 to 12 as side dish.
